Type A Jadeite Laughing Buddha Pendant, Icy Blue-Green, 36mm

A natural Type A jadeite laughing Buddha (佛公) pendant in icy texture, clear with a soft blue-green tint, about 32.8 × 35.5 × 6.3 mm.

Icy jadeite is fine-grained and highly translucent, so light passes through it with a clear, watery glow. A beautiful base color, clean and flawless: the round belly shows a soft blue-green, so the light seems to flow through it. The Buddha smiles broadly, seated in a full, rounded pose. It comes without a bail, which can be added on request.

The figure is Maitreya, the round-bellied, smiling Buddha who stands for a broad mind and tolerance. An old saying pairs Guanyin with men and the Buddha with women, but today anyone can wear either, and this medium-sized piece suits both.

Every natural jadeite has its own texture; look closely and you may find a tiny cotton spot or a stone line. This Buddha pendant is icy and lets light through, so strong light shows its inner detail more clearly. Screens show color differently, so it helps to check the video as well.

This 35.5 mm Buddha pendant comes with a certificate, and before dispatch we check once more that the piece and the certificate match. Shipping is free and fully insured. Any import duties are paid on delivery.
