Type A Jadeite Buddha Pendant, Icy Blue Flower, 18K Bail

A natural Type A jadeite Buddha pendant (逍遥佛, the carefree Maitreya) in icy texture, a clear base with blue-green floating flowers, with an 18K gold bail. About 22.2 × 22.4 × 4.2 mm.

Icy jadeite is fine-grained and highly translucent, so light passes through it with a clear, watery glow. A thread of blue-green floats across the Buddha's belly like a wisp in water. The carving is soft and rounded, with a relaxed smile and flowing robe lines.

The carefree Buddha is the smiling Maitreya (Laughing Buddha), one of the most classic jadeite pendant subjects, worn by women and men. About 22 mm across and of medium thickness, with an 18K gold bail ready to hang on a chain.

Like all natural jadeite (also known as Burmese jade), this pendant may show small natural features such as stone lines or fine cotton, and its colors look slightly different in different light. Please judge it from the photos and video, which show the actual pendant.
