A natural Type A jadeite cabochon ring in icy texture, clear and nearly colorless, set in real gold. The stone measures about 7.9 × 7.2 × 3.2 mm; ring inner diameter 16.7 mm.

Icy jadeite is fine-grained and highly translucent, so light passes through it with a clear, watery glow. Clean and flawless: the oval cabochon is clear and bright, nearly colorless with a faint cool tint, full and glowing, sparkling in the light.

A cabochon is jadeite polished into a smooth dome, the cut that shows color and translucency best and the classic choice for a set ring. An inner diameter of 16.7 mm is about US size 6; please measure your finger before ordering.
