A natural Type A yellow jadeite (黄翡) cabochon ring in icy-glutinous texture, golden yellow, set in 18K white gold. The stone measures about 15.1 × 14 × 4.8 mm; ring inner diameter 17 mm.

Icy-glutinous jadeite sits between icy and glutinous: fine-grained and semi-translucent, with a soft glow. Bold and distinctive: the large, nearly round cabochon is a full golden yellow, even from center to edge, with a gel-like surface like set honey. It is domed high and has real presence from the side; four white-gold claws hold it securely, and the shoulders carry an openwork pattern.

"Fei" (翡) is the trade's word for the red and yellow colors of jadeite. Yellow jadeite is warm and a completely different look from green, and it flatters the skin. At 15 mm this is a statement cabochon. The 17 mm inner diameter is about US size 6.5.
