Type A Jadeite Laughing Buddha Pendant, Pale Green, 18K Gold

A natural Type A jadeite Laughing Buddha pendant in icy texture with a pale, even green tint, set in 18K white gold. Overall size 30.8 × 26.3 × 10.5 mm.

The icy body is clear with a gel-like glow and a soft, even hint of green through the whole stone, the shade Chinese buyers call "clear-water green". The Buddha has a kind smile and a full round belly, carved simply with large smooth areas that let the texture speak for itself. The jadeite is framed in 18K white gold under a flower-shaped bail, giving the pendant real presence. The Laughing Buddha stands for happiness and good fortune close at hand, a classic motif for both men and women.

Like all natural jadeite (also known as Burmese jade), this piece may show small natural features such as stone lines or fine cotton. Please judge it from the photos and video, which show the actual piece.

The overall size including the setting is 30.8 × 26.3 × 10.5 mm; the jadeite itself measures 16.1 × 23.7 × 4.6 mm. The chain in the photos is for display only and is not included.
