Type A Jadeite Laughing Buddha Pendant, Icy Green, 18K Gold

A natural Type A jadeite Laughing Buddha pendant in icy texture with floating green, set in 18K white gold. Jade size 17.4 × 25.2 × 3.2 mm.

Icy jadeite is fine-grained and clearly translucent. This seated Buddha has a moist, pale green body with a stroke of rich green floating across the belly. The carving is smooth and rounded, with a clear, smiling face.

The jade sits in an 18K white gold frame under a flower-shaped bail, and the openwork back lets light through. In Chinese tradition the Laughing Buddha (佛公) stands for cheerfulness, tolerance and contentment, one of the best-loved carving subjects.

Like all natural jadeite (also known as Burmese jade), this pendant may show small natural features such as stone lines or fine cotton, and its colors look slightly different in different light. Please judge it from the photos and video, which show the actual pendant.
