Icy jadeite is fine-grained and highly translucent, so light passes through it with a clear, watery glow. This plaque is clear throughout with a strong glow. Slightly wider at the top, it is carved in relief with a dragon coiling through clouds, surrounded by several full, domed pearls that shine against the clear stone.

The dragon is the most honored auspicious creature in Chinese culture, standing for strength and drive. Dragon plaques are a classic choice for men and look striking on women too. At 56.6 mm it is a large piece to wear on the chest.
