Type A Jadeite Plain Plaque Pendant, Lavender and Green, 18K

A natural Type A jadeite plain plaque pendant (wushi pai) in icy texture, with soft lavender and a band of bright green, set in 18K gold. Size 39.5 × 20 × 11.1 mm.

The icy body is clear and juicy. Faint lavender sits on a white base, crossed in the middle by a vivid green band, the combination the Chinese trade calls "spring with color" (春带彩). The plaque is a plain, uncarved column with good thickness, so the color layers show clearly when light passes through.

A plain plaque carries the traditional wish for a peaceful, trouble-free life (wushi means "nothing amiss"), and with no carving it shows the quality of the jadeite itself. It suits both men and women. The top is capped in openwork 18K gold.

Like all natural jadeite (also known as Burmese jade), this pendant may show small natural features such as stone lines or fine cotton, and its colors look slightly different in different light. Please judge it from the photos and video, which show the actual pendant.
