A natural Type A jadeite gourd pendant in lavender, set in real gold. The stone measures about 30 × 21.4 × 8.3 mm.
Glutinous jadeite is fine-grained and softly translucent, with a gentle, moist look like cooked sticky rice. A beautiful color: the whole gourd is a rich, even lavender, full and rounded at 8.3 mm thick, with a bright polish.
The gourd (葫芦, hulu) sounds like 福禄, "fortune and prosperity", in Chinese, a traditional jadeite pendant subject. Chun se (春色) is the trade name for lavender jadeite, a soft color that flatters most skin tones.
Like all natural jadeite (also known as Burmese jade), this pendant may show small natural features such as stone lines or fine cotton, and its colors look slightly different in different light. Please judge it from the photos and video, which show the actual pendant.
