Type A Jadeite Abacus Bead Strand, Icy Three-Color, 3.4mm

A natural Type A jadeite abacus bead strand (算盘珠) in icy texture, three-color, with beads about 3.4 mm across and 2 mm thick, and a metal clasp.

Icy jadeite is fine-grained and highly translucent, so light passes through it with a clear, watery glow. The beads are flat, rounded abacus shapes, and the colors run in sections: bright green, yellow, orange-red and clear icy white, the mix the trade calls san cai (三彩, three colors: green, yellow-red and white), bright and lively.

The strand is long: wear it as a necklace, or wrap it three times around the wrist as a bracelet, as shown in the photos. The thin, closely set beads drape well and feel light.

Like all natural jadeite (also known as Burmese jade), this strand may show small natural features such as stone lines or fine cotton, and its colors look slightly different in different light. Please judge it from the photos and video, which show the actual strand.
