Type A Jadeite Leaf Pendant, Icy Snowflake Cotton, Gold Set

A natural Type A jadeite leaf pendant in icy texture with snowflake cotton (雪花棉), set in real gold. The stone measures about 27.2 × 16.3 × 3.8 mm.

Icy jadeite is fine-grained and highly translucent, so light passes through it with a clear, watery glow. Tiny white flecks of snowflake cotton are scattered through the clear base like snow caught in ice, a feature many buyers look for in icy jadeite. The leaf veins are carved clearly and smoothly, and the leaf has a full shape.

The leaf is a traditional jadeite subject; in Chinese, "leaf" (叶) sounds like "career" (业), and "golden branches, jade leaves" is an old phrase for something precious. The clear leaf in a real gold setting looks fresh and refined for everyday wear.

Like all natural jadeite (also known as Burmese jade), this pendant may show small natural features such as stone lines or fine cotton, and its colors look slightly different in different light. Please judge it from the photos and video, which show the actual pendant.
