Type A Jadeite Mini Safety Coin, Icy with Green, 11mm

A natural Type A jadeite safety coin in icy texture with a touch of green, mini size, about 11.2 mm across and 3.6 mm thick, without a bail.

Icy jadeite is fine-grained and highly translucent, so light passes through it with a clear, watery glow. Clean and flawless: a tiny, water-clear coin with a curve of fresh green along one edge that fades toward the center, and clean icy white on the other side. It is only the size of a fingernail but loses nothing in color or clarity.

An 11 mm mini safety coin has many uses: on a red cord as a bracelet or anklet, as a small charm on a necklace, or for a child. Its shape comes from the ancient jade bi disc, round with a hole in the middle, and with "ping an" (peace and safety) in its name it is a common gift for family.

Type A jadeite is never acid-bleached or polymer-filled, so its original cotton and stone lines stay as they are. Phone screens can make the green of this 11.2 mm safety coin look brighter or darker than it is; the video in natural light is the best guide. Every photo and video on this page shows this exact piece.
