Type A Jadeite Small Buddha Pendant, Icy Clear, Gold Bail

A natural Type A jadeite seated Buddha pendant in icy texture, small size, with a gold bail, about 15.9 × 21.6 × 7.1 mm.

Icy jadeite is fine-grained and highly translucent, so light passes through it with a clear, watery glow. Moist and flawless: the icy stone has a very faint blue tint, and the round belly glows like a drop of water resting on the Buddha. The design is simple, with the face and robe lines kept light, and the 7.1 mm thickness gives the small Buddha a full, rounded feel. Gold bail at the top.

This is a small Buddha, 21.6 mm wide and a size down from the usual laughing Buddha pendant, so it sits lightly between the collarbones, good for women or anyone who prefers a discreet piece. A Chinese saying has men wear Guanyin and women wear the Buddha, and small Buddhas like this are especially popular with women.

Fine stone lines and cotton are hallmarks of natural jadeite; completely clean material is very rare. This Buddha pendant is icy and lets light through, so strong light shows its inner detail more clearly. Every photo and video on this page shows this exact piece.

This 15.9 mm Buddha pendant comes with a certificate, and before dispatch we check once more that the piece and the certificate match. Shipping is free and fully insured. Any import duties are paid on delivery.
