Icy jadeite is fine-grained and highly translucent, so light passes through it with a clear, watery glow. Fine texture, full of water: the icy fu bangle is an even qing shui color throughout, green with a touch of blue, light and uniform with no stray colors, and faint tiny inclusions inside like glints in water. Qing shui (晴水, "clear-sky water") describes jadeite whose color is as light and even as water on a fine day; an all-over qing shui round bangle is fresh and easy to live with.

Rounded inside and out, a fu bangle looks full and feels soft on the wrist. 10.5 mm wide and 10.7 mm thick; at 55.5 mm the inner size is a common size.
