Type A Jadeite Glassy Cabochon Set of 3, Loose Stones

A set of three natural Type A jadeite cabochons, sold loose, in glassy texture, colorless with a glow: one about 9.2 × 9.1 × 4 mm and a pair about 9.4 mm across and 4 mm thick. Sold as a full set only.

Mature material with a glow. All three cabochons are glassy jadeite, so clear you can barely see into them, and their high domes lift a soft blue sheen under light, what the trade calls 起光 or 起荧, the most captivating trait of glassy jadeite. The three are close in size and matched in clarity, and a set like this is rarely put together.

The brass mounts and small stones in the photos are a temporary display mount (brass, not precious metal); they ship with the jade, so you can wear it straight away or have a jeweler reset it in 18K gold. They are ideal for a jeweler to make into a ring and matching earrings, or set however you like, as a pendant for instance. The high domes have flat backs, which makes setting easy.

Glassy jadeite is extremely transparent, so even very fine internal texture can be seen; that is a natural feature. The blue sheen grows stronger or weaker with the light and background; please go by the video. The photos and video show this exact set.
