Type A Jadeite High-Icy Cabochon, Loose Stone, 10mm

A natural Type A jadeite cabochon, sold loose, in high-icy texture, colorless with a blue glow. About 10 × 9.9 × 4 mm.

Mature material, clean to the eye. The nearly round cabochon is clear as ice, and its high dome gathers light and sends it back so the whole stone gives off a cool blue sheen, like a lake under moonlight. At 4 mm the dome is full, which makes the glow stronger, and the inside is clean.

The brass ring mount and small stones in the photos are a temporary display mount (brass, not precious metal); they ship with the jade, so you can wear it straight away or have a jeweler reset it in 18K gold. A round cabochon of about 10 mm is ideal as a solitaire ring stone, or it can become a pendant or brooch; a local jeweler can design whatever style you like.

High-icy jadeite is very transparent, so very fine internal texture may show under strong light; that is natural. The blue sheen depends on light and background and is clearest against a dark backdrop; please go by the video. The photos and video are of this stone.
