Type A Jadeite Gourd, Full Bright Green, Unset, 16.4mm

A natural Type A jadeite gourd in icy-glutinous texture, a full bright green, sold unset as a loose piece, about 16.4 × 7.7 × 4.1 mm, with a small stem at the top.

Icy-glutinous jadeite sits between icy and glutinous: fine-grained and semi-translucent, with a soft glow. A beautiful color: the gourd is an even, fresh bright green from stem to base with no other tones, a gel-like surface and plenty of water. Slender in shape with two distinct bulbs, it keeps a small stem at the top that gives it life.

Full-green gourds are not common; this one's green is true and saturated and will shine once set as a pendant, though it also looks good simply strung on a red or black cord. "Hulu" (gourd) sounds like "fu lu", blessings and prosperity: a good gift for an elder, or a good-luck piece for yourself.

Fine stone lines and cotton are growth marks of natural jadeite, and completely clean material is rare; please judge this 16.4 mm full-green gourd by the real photos.
