Type A Jadeite Lulutong Barrel Charm, Green and White, 16mm

A natural Type A jadeite lulutong (路路通) charm in icy-glutinous texture, white with a large patch of yang green, about 16 × 5.7 × 4.3 mm, with a through-hole for a chain or cord.

Icy-glutinous jadeite sits between icy and glutinous: fine-grained and semi-translucent, with a soft glow. The seller's words were "juicy and flawless": on one side the yang green is rich and lively, like green ink spreading in water, easing into a clean icy white on the other, a vivid contrast of green and white. The surface is polished round and smooth, the material has good water, and the green brightens with light behind it.

Lulutong means "every road open": smooth travels and fewer obstacles, a fitting gift for someone setting off on a long trip, changing jobs or starting a business. The small size works as a pendant on its own or threaded onto a cord bracelet as a lucky bead, for men and women alike.

As a natural mineral, jadeite nearly always carries some cotton or stone lines; they do not affect wear. On a phone screen the color of this 16 mm lulutong charm can look stronger or paler than it is, so the video in natural light is the best guide.

You can reserve this 16 mm lulutong charm for free first; the seller confirms stock and holds it for 24 hours while you pay. It is checked against its certificate before shipping and travels fully insured, with free shipping.
