Type A Jadeite Plain Tablet, Icy-Glutinous, Gold Bail, 34mm

A natural Type A jadeite plain tablet (无事牌) in icy-glutinous texture, icy white, with a gold bail, about 34 × 13.5 × 5.8 mm.

Icy-glutinous jadeite sits between icy and glutinous: fine-grained and semi-translucent, with a soft glow. The seller called it "juicy and fresh". The tablet is a slender trapezoid, narrow at the top and wider at the bottom, left uncarved with neatly beveled edges and a soft sheen like light mist. The white body carries the faintest hint of green and looks clean and calm. The top of the gold bail is set with a small bright-green cabochon, a touch of color that lifts the white tablet.

The plain tablet, also called the "nothing-wrong tablet", has no carving at all: it wishes the wearer a life free of trouble and leaves room for their own meaning. At 34 mm long and 13.5 mm wide it is long and narrow, which lengthens the neckline, and it suits men and women for everyday and office wear.

Natural jadeite shifts a little with the light, warmer indoors and fresher in daylight. Every photo and video of this 34 mm icy-glutinous plain tablet shows this exact piece, with no color editing. The gold setting reflects light, so photos can look slightly brighter than the piece.
