Type A Jadeite Ping An Kou, Icy, Blue Flowers, 29.1mm

A natural Type A jadeite safety buckle (ping an kou, 平安扣) in icy texture with blue-green floating flowers. Diameter 29.1 mm, thickness 5.6 mm. It is sold unset, as a loose disc.

Icy jadeite is fine-grained and clearly translucent. This disc is clean and watery, with a few wisps of blue-green "floating flowers" (飘花, natural color patches inside the stone) drifting across one side like ink in water.

A safety buckle is a round disc with a hole in the center, sometimes called a jade donut. You can wear it on a cord through the hole or have a bail added. In Chinese tradition the ping an kou stands for safety and peace, a favorite piece to wear yourself or give to family.

Like all natural jadeite (also known as Burmese jade), this pendant may show small natural features such as stone lines or fine cotton, and its colors look slightly different in different light. Please judge it from the photos and video, which show the actual pendant.

Every piece is inspected at our center and checked against its certificate before it ships, with free insured shipping.
