Type A Jadeite Buddha Pendant, Icy Clear, Gold Bail, 35mm

A natural Type A jadeite seated Buddha pendant in icy texture, clear and clean, with a gold bail. About 31.7 × 34.7 × 6.8 mm.

Icy jadeite is fine-grained and highly translucent, so light passes through it with a clear, watery glow. This piece is clear throughout and nearly colorless, and the full, polished belly shows a faint bluish watery sheen. At about 35 mm and 6.8 mm thick it is full and generous. The carving is rounded, with a broad smile and clean lines.

The seated Buddha is the smiling Maitreya (Laughing Buddha), one of the most classic jadeite pendant subjects, worn by women and men. The gold bail is ready to hang on a chain.

Like all natural jadeite (also known as Burmese jade), this pendant may show small natural features such as stone lines or fine cotton, and its colors look slightly different in different light. Please judge it from the photos and video, which show the actual pendant.
