Type A Jadeite Round Bangle, Icy Floating Flower, 54.2mm

A natural Type A jadeite round bangle (fu bangle, 福镯) in icy texture, a clear pale green base with dark green flowers all around. Inner size 54.2 mm.

Icy jadeite is fine-grained and highly translucent, so light passes through it with a clear, watery glow. Fine texture and plenty of water: threads and wisps of dark green flower fill the whole round on a clear, pale green base, like water plants swaying in clear water, lively and layered.

This round style is the one older generations wore most, and its curved surface shows the glow of the jade best. A bar about 9.5 mm thick; the 54.2 mm inner size is a common size.

This is natural jadeite, so it may hold fine stone lines or small cotton-like flecks, marks left as the stone formed. The flowers in this 9.5 mm-wide bangle sit where nature put them; no other piece has quite the same pattern. Screens show color differently, so it helps to check the video as well.
