A natural Type A jadeite gourd (葫芦) pendant in icy texture, a blue qingshui body with floating blue, set in 18K white gold, stone about 18.1 × 11.8 × 3.6 mm.

Icy jadeite is fine-grained and highly translucent, so light passes through it with a clear, watery glow. The seller said "good texture, plenty of water". Both bulbs of the gourd are a bright lake blue, the upper one a little deeper, and in the lower one soft blue clouds drift like paint dissolving in water. The 18K white gold mount follows the outline of the gourd with a row of small white stones and finishes in a stone-set flower bail; the white metal makes the blue look cooler and clearer.

The gourd, hulu, sounds like fu lu, fortune and prosperity, which makes it one of the best-loved lucky motifs, a wish for good fortune and good health.
