A natural Type A jadeite gourd pendant in icy-glutinous texture, full yang green, set in 18K white gold, stone about 14.2 × 11 × 3.2 mm.

Icy-glutinous jadeite sits between icy and glutinous: fine-grained and semi-translucent, with a soft glow. The seller said "beautiful color". The gourd carries one solid layer of rich green from top to bottom with no pale areas, true in hue and highly saturated, close to what the trade calls true yang green (正阳绿). A leaf is carved lightly across the body, its veins following the curve so the light picks out layers. The 18K white gold mount has a double border and a square stone-set flower bail.

Fully colored jadeite is worth a clear step more than a piece with only some color, and this gourd is green all over, very well colored for its size. At 14.2 mm it is petite, right for everyday wear or an evening out; a gourd with a leaf wishes both prosperity and a thriving career.
