Icy-glutinous jadeite sits between icy and glutinous: fine-grained and semi-translucent, with a soft glow. Moist and distinctive: half the bangle is warm honey-yellow jadeite and half is a clear white base, shading naturally from yellow to white, clean and soft. Huang fei (黄翡) is the trade name for yellow to brownish-yellow jadeite.

A flat-inner bangle has a flat inner face that rests broadly on the wrist, so it turns less. This one is 12.6 mm wide and 8 mm thick; the 59 mm inner size suits larger wrists.

Type A jadeite is never acid-bleached or polymer-filled, so its original cotton and stone lines stay as they are.
