A natural Type A jadeite Yellow Jambhala (黄财神) pendant in icy texture, clear with a soft blue-green tint, about 50 × 37.3 × 6.3 mm.

Icy jadeite is fine-grained and highly translucent, so light passes through it with a clear, watery glow. Clean and flawless throughout, with a soft blue-green tone over the whole piece and a watery shine in the light. Yellow Jambhala sits cross-legged on a lotus seat before a halo, holding a jewel in one hand and a jewel-spitting mongoose in the other; the robes and lotus petals are carved in clear layers and polished bright.

Yellow Jambhala is the wealth deity of Tibetan Buddhism. The mongoose in his arm spits out jewels, standing for generosity and abundance, and he is a common figure in Tibetan Buddhist art. At 50 mm it is a substantial piece to wear on a cord or chain. It comes without a bail, which can be added on request.

Every natural jadeite has its own texture; look closely and you may find a tiny cotton spot or a stone line. This pendant is icy and lets light through, so strong light shows its inner detail more clearly. Please judge it from the photos and video of the actual piece.
